Developer API

Integrate the same timetable logic into your own stack — from apps and mosque sites to dashboards and experimental hardware.

  • Simple JSON API responses
  • Location-based prayer calculations
  • Date parameters for daily or monthly requests
  • Free usage with rate limits
  • Commercial usage available for production workloads
  • Suited to apps, websites, dashboards, widgets, and connected devices

Organisations and mosques

Prayertimes.dev is structured so communities can adopt consistent timings online — with room to grow into branded or embedded experiences.

  • Masjid Portal for committee members to update jamaat times and Jummah slots
  • Embeddable timetable possibilities for websites
  • Mosque display and dashboard possibilities
  • Commercial licence options for sustained use
  • White-label or branded usage potential where licensing allows
  • Useful for community websites, foyer screens, and internal tools

PDF timetable submissions

When a masjid's jamaat times aren't available yet, anyone in the community can upload the mosque's PDF timetable — a workflow we haven't seen in any other prayer time app.

  • Upload a PDF from a masjid page in the web app or iPhone app
  • Submissions include your name and email so we can follow up
  • Every submission is reviewed by the Prayer Times team before going live
  • Approved timetables are processed automatically into daily jamaat times
  • Updated times appear across the web app, mobile app, and notifications
  • You're emailed when your submission is accepted or if we need a clearer copy
  • Works alongside the Masjid Portal — committees can self-manage; communities can contribute PDFs

Smart home and devices

The road ahead includes tighter integrations — today you can combine the API with your own automations; tomorrow we expect first-class hooks for common stacks.

  • Home Assistant integration direction
  • ESP32 / CYD prayer display direction
  • Smart dashboards using JSON data
  • Prayer reminders via your own automations
  • Architecture that stays compatible with connected devices over time
