Cookie Policy

This page describes how Prayer Times uses cookies and similar storage technologies.

Essential storage

We store your UI preferences (such as theme choice) in your browser’s local storage so that the site looks and behaves consistently across visits. On the mobile apps, similar preferences are stored on-device. This storage does not identify you personally and is not shared with third parties except where described in our Privacy Policy (for example notification preferences when you opt in to alerts).

Analytics cookies

With your consent, we use PostHog (and on mobile, Firebase Analytics) to collect anonymous usage data — such as pages or screens viewed and features used — to help us understand how Prayer Times is being used and how we can improve it. On the web, PostHog stores a cookie to distinguish sessions. No data is sold or used for advertising. We do not collect the Android Advertising ID.

Analytics are only active after you accept: on the web, via the cookie consent banner; on mobile, via the in-app analytics prompt (changeable later in Settings). You can withdraw web consent by clearing your browser’s cookies and local storage for this site.

Managing your preferences

On the web, accept or decline analytics using the banner shown on your first visit. If you decline, no analytics data is collected. Clearing your browser’s local storage will reset your preference and the banner will reappear on your next visit. On mobile, use the first-launch analytics prompt or the analytics toggle in Settings.
